You may not believe what I’m about to say in this month’s Small Business Deals: August 2026 Edition post.
I’m coming back to social media.
There, I’ve said it.
I’ve decided to come back to social media once again after abandoning it for the umpteenth time.
So, what got me to come back to using social media again?
Please don’t say it’s because of FOMO?
Of course, the answer is no.
If anything, my reason for coming back to social media has more to do with how the marketing landscape has changed over the last few years.
And we all have AI to thank for it.
Unlike the last time, my social media strategy will be completely different from what I had years ago before I abandoned the social media ship.
If you’re curious about my social media strategy moving forward, then be sure to keep your eyes on my upcoming post about it.
Now that you know about it, let’s have a look at what’s in store for you in this month’s Small Business Deals: August 2026 Edition post.
Create more white space in your calendar by having a journaling session with the LSW Morning Notes

I first came across the idea of having white space in your calendar through Craig Ballantyne’s email newsletter.
As much as I know how important it is to have white space in my schedule, I still haven’t implemented it.
I can bet that my decision to come back to social media will be a lot sooner if I have time to think things through.
But oh well, there’s nothing much I can do when timing isn’t on my side.
So, what can you do to have white space in your schedule?
Believe it or not, you don’t actually need to do anything fancy to create the white space.
You can go take a walk outside to clear your mind if it’s possible for you to do so.
Or you can do journaling in the morning before you begin your day.
Even with journaling, it doesn’t have to be a long session either when you use the LSW Morning Notes.
With each page containing sections like setting the intention for the day, identifying and overcoming obstacles, this journal can give you the white space you need before you begin your day.
Of course, you can do the same exercise with a bullet journal if you prefer to work from a blank page.
But if it sounds overwhelming to you, then this LSW Morning Notes will do the trick.
Think journaling is the way to go to get the white space you need?

Prefer to create more white space after the long day at work? The LSW Mind Notes is what you need instead

While some of us prefer to create the white space before we do anything, some of us, on the other hand, prefer to do it after work.
Of course, the idea of doing journaling first thing may feel like you want to run to the hill if you’re the eat-the-frog type of person, as I am.
Just because the idea of journaling first thing may sound palpitating to you, it doesn’t mean that journaling is out of the question.
Rather than using the LSW Morning Notes for your journaling session, you’ll use the LSW Mind Notes instead.
Unlike the LSW Morning Notes, which is all about gaining clarity, the LSW Mind Notes is all about self-reflection.
Have this aha moment that comes to you during the journaling session?
Write them down, y’all, since the prompts in the LSW Mind Notes are designed for reviewing your day so that the next day will be a better one.
Thinking about wanting to reflect on your day more often in the form of journaling instead of leaving them in your head?
If that’s you, then the LSW Mind Notes is what you need.

Build a habit that lasts with the LSW Habit Notes

We all know how important it is to have white space in our calendar.
But if you’re like me, you probably have a hard time doing the same, especially when you have tons of stuff you must do.
The good news is fixing this issue isn’t as hard as you think since it boils down to your habit.
And when it comes to building a habit that lasts, you can count on the LSW Habit Notes to make it possible.
What I love about this journal is that not only does the prompt force you to focus on building one habit at a time.
But it also has a prompt that allows us to reflect on what works and what doesn’t to make this new habit stick for the long term.
The more you know what works and don’t work, the easier for you to build the habit over time.
Of course, you can use the LSW Habit Notes pretty much for any good habits that you want to cultivate, not just for creating white space.
I’m only using it to be on-point with our core theme, which is all about creating white space in our schedule.
Struggling with building a habit that lasts and need a proven system that will do just that?
If that’s you, then the LSW Habit Notes is what you need.

As always, you can do the same in your bullet journal as well. But if you prefer something that is ready-made, then this journal is for you.
